The Motto Board

Sometimes just a few words can make a big difference- engraved, scrawled, chalked, or printed. I wrote a post about creating a motto board over at SC Johnson Family Economics. I even included a few starter quotes and phrases. If you can add to that list, please do so in the comment section of the SCJ post! I would LOVE to have more mottos for my board at home.

Even our die hard San Francisco Giants fan/daughter, Jamie, has a motto board in her bedroom!

Love the graphic as well as the motto idea. Is the blackboard graphic available plain so we could add a motto? It’s so cute.

I have had a motto board in my office for about 20 years. Some days the quote is funny and some days it is insightful and thought provoking. Everyone stops by my office to see what is on the board so it is a nice conversation point.

A motto board for my office would be so much fun for next year. This year me and my colleagues are using a calendar with (unintentionally) funny quotes, as those quotes are so, so bad. We laugh so hard every Monday! :-D

Our motto smile board is a ongoing cartoon character or scene that one person starts on Monday and each person in the office adds to the drawing. On Friday we put a caption that is suitable for the week. Some weeks it is quite hilarious what we all come up with.

“Keep a green tree in your heart and the singing bird will come” is currently on my board. Love your idea!
