Cigar Box Tax Stamps: Free Digital Download

Vintage cigar boxes continue to provide me with creative visual pleasure. Today, it’s all about the tax stamps. Those strips of blue on most all of the old boxes in my collection, upon close examination, behold richly engraved flourishes, typography and history. I scanned a few of mine for your crafty projects and included a few other cool stamps to finish off the sheet. Download by clicking the image below.  Print using your printers finest settings (reducing to fit 8.5″ x 11″), trim out each, run through a sticker maker or use a paper adhesive and embellish containers, collages or scrapbook layouts. Enjoy!

Well, these are very cool – thanks a lot.

Sometimes, when I look at things like this, I think about the people who saw them every day back when they were mundane objects of no particular interest and who never in a million years could have imagined what we’d be doing with them today. Makes me smile.

It has shot up in popularity ever since it
has reached the mainstream markets. Oolong tea has a pleasant aftertaste and a sweet, but fruity aroma.
White tea is made by drying the freshly harvested tea leaves and buds.
