Beginning with the November 2011 issue, I am officially Contributing Craft Editor for Country Living Magazine! What a dream!! What an amazing publication. What wonderful Senior Associate Editor that I have the privilege to work with- Jourdan Crouch.
A HUGE thank you to all my blog readers for the support you have given me over my few years of crafting and blogging. I’m going to love taking you along for the ride! (… heading off to find the Champagne…)

Cathe, this is so well-deserved! Congratulations! I have loved following you for these past few years and seeing where your gifts have taken you. So exciting!
Congratulations!!!!! This is super, duper, exciting news and you must be over the moon. Your projects are always so inspiring and interesting.
Ironically, I have been ranting all week about the plethora of crappy projects available on the internet. I am a very experienced crafter and I crave inspiration, just like any other woman who loves to create, but being so experienced means it can be difficult is to find projects that are challenging, well made, and something I have never done. There is certainly no lack of projects online with the bajillions of individual’s who blog about crafting (or decorating), hubs like Instructables or Crafty Things, print magazines with a big online presence like Martha Stewart Living or Family Fun, and the new wave of niche, self-published magazines available as e-magazines or in print by MagCloud. I love that there are so many talented women creating art and blogging about it -and getting editorial positions at magazines:)- but the fact is, there aren’t enough women providing inspiration, tutorials, or videos for those of us who are experienced crafters.
I am thrilled that a creative and talented woman, overflowing with great ideas, is being rewarded for sharing those talents on her blog. The universe is rewarding you for so freely sharing your talent and creativity by giving you a bigger platform to distribute ideas and inspire more women. Contributing Craft Editor with Country Living Magazine is a terrific reward for a job well done.
