GEEK CRAFTS: Steampunk Glass Eyeball

Yes, I know how to get weird. Weird enough that my featured project over on CRAFT today disturbed my own children. I had to laugh. They won’t have to look at it much longer, though, because I’m giving it away at the Maker Faire on Sunday during my demo. See you there? (Pun intended.)

Pretty weird, yet fun. Your necklace is lovely though, turned out quite nicely.

LOL, Cathe. I wear only one contact lens instead of reading glasses or bifocals. Frequently, I’ll say something like: “I don’t have my eye in” or “I’m going to go take my eye out.”

Cathe, you inspired me to make a Seraph/Cherubim guardian for my front door. I found a website that had pictures of the very detailed glass eyes they make for dolls and I printed seven eyes and used Cold Weld to bond six wings to a filigree jewelry backing with one eye in the middle and six eyes on the wings surrounding it. Thank you for the inspiration!
