More Spray Paint: Before and After

By now it’s probably pretty clear how much I love spray paint. It’s the instant extreme makeover in a can. I’m also a little nuts for any type of cabinet with drawers, and if they have ID card holder hardware attached, I can never resist.

I have a few old watch part cabinets that hold my small craft supplies and found another one at the Alameda Flea Market last weekend for $15. I painted this piece with Rust-oleum American Accents Seaside Green Satin ($3.50), then scuffed just a bit with sandpaper around the edges when dry. I lined the drawers by laying a folded sheet of large ledger paper in them. Here’s the 1/2 hour project before & after!

That is so pretty, it hurts. I guess those kind of pieces (drawers, labels) bespeak order and calm. And with that soothing color, it's just so appealing. Well done, again.

    Marvellous! I'm almost speechless.

I have an 'apprentice's chest' that I treasure, and will put it on my blog sometime, but am incapable of looking at something functional and ostensibly 'boring', maybe a bit tatty, and having the vision or skill to turn it into an item of beauty. You can Cathe, right across the board!

Beautiful. And I laughed out loud when i clicked on the third pictures to see it larger and read the labels: Bottles, Bottles, Bottles… Beans. NOT what I was expecting, but makes sense with your post on beans from a while ago.

And can I just say — what a classy way to store thumb tacks and paper clips too. Wow.
