The most beautiful Valentine I ever received was a typewritten poem my husband wrote while on duty at the firehouse 6 years ago. Early that February, my sister, Shelly, passed away suddenly and we brought home her sweet Sarah, from Arkansas, to adopt and raise with our other two children. Now in our 19th year of marriage, we have endured so much together and been blessed many, many times over. And since he is currently out of state and I can’t be with him today, I wanted to share what an amazing Valentine he is. This is his poem that I placed with a beautiful image when I received it. I decoupaged it to my jewelry box and look at it every morning when I wake. (You can click to enlarge the image)
Happy Valentines Day everyone!

What a neat experience that you had when your sister passed away. That truly makes you the greatest Aunt and Uncle in the world. What a beautiful poem. I shared a poem on my blog today, too. I love Valentine’s Day!
Oh how touching, Cathe. Mementos of long term love are incredibly special. When I reflect on the amazing history behind our little family, good times and bad I wouldn’t want it any other way. Be grateful today and all of your days, Happy Valentine’s Day.
You are blessed to be sure!!
